Air-Gapped Installation

SiteTour works completely offline. Once it’s installed, it never needs to connect to the internet — not for licences, not for updates, not for anything. This makes it suitable for sites where internet access is restricted or unavailable.

What you’ll need

  • A Windows PC (.exe installer) or Mac (.dmg installer)
  • Your SiteTour licence file (.lic) — this arrives by email when you purchase, or you can download it from the customer portal
  • A USB drive (if transferring to a machine with no internet)

Installation steps

Step 1 — Get the installer

Download the SiteTour installer from the customer portal or from the link in your welcome email. You’ll get either a .exe file (Windows) or a .dmg file (Mac).

Step 2 — Transfer to the target machine (if needed)

If the machine you’re installing on has no internet connection, copy the installer file and your .lic licence file onto a USB drive, then plug that USB drive into the target machine.

Step 3 — Run the installer

Double-click the installer file and follow the on-screen prompts. No settings to change — just click through and let it finish.

Step 4 — Activate your licence

The first time SiteTour opens, it will ask you to locate your licence file. Click Browse, find the .lic file (either from your USB drive or wherever you saved it), select it, and you’re done.

SiteTour will open straight to your project gallery.

No internet required after installation

Once SiteTour is installed and your licence is activated, it works entirely offline:

  • Your licence is checked on your device — no activation server, no phone-home, no internet connection needed
  • No usage data is collected or sent — SiteTour doesn’t phone home
  • Everything is self-contained — all the fonts, graphics, and application files are bundled inside the installer

SiteTour will work correctly even on a machine with no network connection at all.

Renewing your licence

When your licence is due for renewal, you’ll receive a new .lic file by email, or you can download it from the customer portal.

To apply it:

  1. Open SiteTour
  2. Go to Settings → Licence → Replace licence file
  3. Select the new .lic file

That’s it — no reinstallation, no restarts, no fuss.
