FAQ
Which browsers are supported?
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari — latest versions. For the best experience use Chrome or Edge on desktop.
Can I use SiteTour without an internet connection?
Yes. SiteTour runs entirely on your local machine. Once installed, no internet connection is required to create projects, run inspections, or export tours.
How do I host an exported tour on SharePoint?
Upload the exported HTML file to a SharePoint document library, then add a Page Viewer or iFrame web part to a SharePoint page and set the source URL to the file’s direct link. No additional plugins are required.
What 360° camera formats are supported?
Equirectangular JPEG and PNG images are supported. Most consumer and professional 360° cameras export equirectangular images by default. Check your camera’s export settings if you are unsure.
How do I update SiteTour?
Download the new zip from the customer portal. Extract it, then copy the files
over your existing installation — replacing everything except your
projects/ folder and sitetour.lic licence file. Restart the server.
How many users can access SiteTour simultaneously?
The number of concurrent users is determined by your licence tier. Check your licence agreement or the customer portal for the specific limit on your plan. Contact us to upgrade if you need more capacity.
Are exported tours accessible to people without SiteTour installed?
Yes. Exported tours are self-contained HTML files with all assets bundled inline. Recipients can open them in any modern browser with no server, plugins, or SiteTour installation required.
How do I back up my project data?
Copy the projects/ directory from your SiteTour installation folder. It
contains all project data as JSON files and images. Store copies on a network
drive or cloud storage of your choice. No database or special backup tool is
needed.
